The CIA tried to kill Haqqani network second-in-command Badruddin Haqqani but missed, killing his younger brother Muhammad.

Muhammad and either two or three others died as they drove to offer prayers for Sheikh Mansoor (see Ob71). Badruddin was eventually killed in August 2012 (Ob287).
