Two or four people were killed in the first CIA strike in South Waziristan for 20 days.

A Bureau investigation found that two men were tracked by a drone as they made their way to the Rustam bazaar in the South Waziristan capital, Wana. The drone fired two missiles, missing with the first but killing them with the second. They were members of the Gangi Khel sub-tribe of the Ahmadzai Wazir. They were buried in their tribal graveyard.
