The Bureau is hiring: Apply to be our Production Editor

The Bureau of Investigative Journalism is looking to recruit a Production Editor.

The role will entail overseeing all Bureau output, running the Bureau’s website and ensuring the organisation has strong social media presence.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join the UK’s biggest not-for-profit investigative news unit at a time when the organisation is rapidly expanding.

The ideal candidate must have a passion for story telling and will have a background in either news editing or subbing.

Only applicants able to demonstrate the following will be considered:

  • a thorough understanding of current media law
  • several years editing experience
  • subbing and headline writing abilities
  • good writing skills
  • meticulous fact checking abilities
  • demonstrable enthusiasm for investigative journalism
  • an interest in innovative approaches to telling stories and story production
  • fantastic social media skills.

Salary: up to £46,000
